What features of post production did you use?
We used a lot quick cuts which worked well with the style of the music, which is rapping. We filmed a lot more than we needed so we could pick out the best parts which is good quality control. When we filmed the weather was not very good so wedecided when editing to add colour filters and it had a strong impact on making the colour seem a lot brighter than it was. We used final cut to edit in the lip syncing in time to the music, which took a long time and the process was dificult to get right, but over all it was a success. The end of our video we decided not to put conventional credits instead we decided to fade out the final shot of Harvey and Jack walking through the subway.
What impact did your post production decisions have on your product?
It was important that we took time to make sure the lip syncing was done properly as if it was not the video would look unprofesional and not very realistic. We also made sure we agreed with the group of the best shots, so that the final shots we used have good quality.
What did you do more successfully in your advanced portfolio than your foundation portfolio?
We used more advanced camera work the second time, for example we used a lot more camera shots and the camera work was alot more steady. Rather than using a lot of static shots we decided it would look more professional to use tracking shots as we got that from wathching alot of conventinal rap videos.
What post production skills do you still need to develp?
